AUCKLAND, Ails- -I

There was a substantial increase in the number of pneumonic influenza cases reported to the Auckland District Health Office during the 24 hours ended at noon to-day. The total was eleven, five of them being in the city and suburbs. i

In addition there were three cm reported from Otaliuhu, and one each from Pnpntoetoc. Franklin County, and Tauranga.

This makes a total of 28 cases reported for the four days of this month. Three deaths have occurred during the hist 24 hours—one at the hospital, another at Mount Albert, and one at Cambridge. The deaths for this month total six.
