WEDDING BELLS

On t-be loth instant, at 7 p.m., a very pretty wedding took place at St. Aiden’s Church, Miramar, Wellington, the contracting parties being Alice Grace, youngest daughter of Mrs E. Harris, of' Dannevirke, and Thomas Neil, only son of Mr and Mrs N. Wylie, Kanieri, Hokitika. The Rev. Mr Page officiated, Miss A. Thomas presiding at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Air A. Thomas, wore a dainty frock of rustsilk marocain and apricot silk georgette with a. black and apricot silk georgette hat and carried a bouquet of irises, freezias, maiden hair fern and autumn leaves with tulle streamers. The chief bridesmaid, Afiss Charlotte Wylie, wore a frock of apricot crope-de-chine with a hat to match and Miss Joy Thomas wore a frock of apricot crepe-de-diine with a black silk georgette hat. Both bridesmaids carried posies in autumn tints with tulle streamers. Al.r Arthur Haley acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was hold at the residence of the bride’s sister, Airs A. Thomas, Park Road. Aliramar. and an enjoyable evening was spent. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a beautiful fur choker and tibe bride’s present to the bridegrooni, a travelling rug. The bridesmaids received gold bangles. Later the happy couple left by motor en route for Hawke’s Bay, the bride travelling in a brown ensemble suit and hat to match. -
