In the second innings they lost 1 for 170 (Ashdown, not out, 102). Surrey in the first innings made 434 for 8 and declared : Hobbs made i /, Jeacocke (6, Holmes (not out) 62. The game was drawn.
Middlesex in the first innings against Yorkshire made 295 (Hearne 134, Allen 80) and in the second made 80. Kilner took 8 for 40, Rhodes 2 for 8. Yorkshire in the first innings made 371 (Holmes 128, Leyland 67). Haig took 5 for 18 in the second innings. Yorkshire woii by ten wickets. _ Hampshire in the first innings against Sussex made 2i4 (Mead 101). Tate took 7 for 89. in the second 198 for 9 and declared. Tate took 4 for 44. Sussex in the first innings made 214 (Duleepsinliji 105). Newman took 7 for 79. In the second Sussex made 179 (Tate 43). Roves took 5 for 38. Hampshire won by 82 runs. For Warwick against Worcester, Kilner made 121. Warwick won.
For Leicester against Derby Taylor made 107. Lord took 5 for 40. For Derby Lee took 5 for 57. Leicester won. For Notts against Gloucester Whysall in the first innings scored a hundred and in the second was not out for 167. Walker made 107. For Gloucester Sinfielcl was not out for 112 and took 5 for 101. The match was drawn. For Glamorgan against Nortliants Bell scored 152. Mercet took 5 for 63. For Nortliants Clark took 5 for 57. Glamorgan won. Most of the wicket were affected by the rain. Army first 376. second 26 for 0; Navy first 249, second 151. Army aton bv ten wickets.
