AUCKLAND, July 15. 1 The Council of the New Zealand Rugby League has been advised by the ao-ents of the steamer Tainui, by which the New Zealand team will travel to England, that the departure of the vessel had been postponed from August 7th. to August 14th. Air T. Tuohoy asked whether it would he possible for the team to sail by another route, and he suggested that the players should go via Australia. The AVairoa Sub-Union, which regained the Barry Cup Inst week from Poverty Bay Union, defeated East Coast to-day by 14 points to nil, alter a, good game, confined mostly to the forwards. Although the better team won, the score hardly does justice to the good fight put up by the visitors.
