Another of the last disappearing band of early goldfield pioneers, Air James Wilson Taylor, of Cobden, yesterday crossed the “ Great Divide.” He was 82 years of age and a native of Scotland, having come as a youth in tbe 50’s of last century to tbe Victorian gold rush, where he was an eye witness of tbe exciting incidents associated with the famous Eureka Stockade. By last night’s train from Christchurch arrived in Hokitika a popular figure of the football days of 1880-90 on Cass Square, in tbe person of Mr B. W. Wade, of Ashburton.
