Lancashire’s second innings realised 330 for 6, and was then declared. E. Tyldesley made 131 and Eckersley (not out) 55. Surrey in the first innings made 328 (J. E. Cocks 114. Ducat 67), and in the second 68 for 0. The match was drawn.
Kent, against Notts, in the first innings made 293 (Collins, not out ; >7), ind in the second 402 (Hardinge 83, Ashdown 121). Notts in the first innings scored 131 (Payton 70). Wright taking 4 for 44, and in the second 278. Kent won by 210 runs.
For Sussex, against Leicester, box took 5 for 69. Sussex won.
For Glamorgan, against Worcester, 801 l made 225. Mercer in the first innings took 7 for 40, and in the second 6 for 58. and Bates 3 for 14. Glamorgan won. For Hampshire against 'Warwick. .Tupn niiide 119. Hampshire won. For Essex against Gloucester, Palmer took 6 for 68. Essex won.
For Yorkshire against Northants, Mitchell made 189, while Waddiugtor. took 6 for 53 and Rhodes 7 for 102. For Northants Clarke took 6 for 64. The match was drawn.
For Derby, against Somerset, Stor-sr made 132 and took 6 for 48. For Somerset, Bridges took 5 for 125. Derby won. TATE AS COACH. LONDON. July 14. Tate does not know officially of the invitation to coach New Zealand cricketers in the winter, but lie exptets to hear shortly. He is keen to go ir a friend accompanies him.
