(Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, July 13. In a bout, for the European middleweight. championship. Tommy Milligan defeated George West, the referee stopping the fight in the 14th. round. West opened well, hut, after the first round, Milligan showed a marked superiority in some rounds, with telling hooks and uppecuts, driving West all round the ring. The referee intervened when the loser was driven to a corner and was taking heavy punishment.
