Maurice Strymans, a Belgian sea captain to-day entered the Darlinghurst Police Station, and informed tlio '■police that lie had'just shot a woman. [ The police hurried to an address which Strymans gave, and-there they found the body of a young woman, named Ruth Clarkson, in an expensive-ly-furnished flat. There were revolver bullet wounds in her head. Tlio woman had apparently only just > Leon shot, as there was a jdionograph in the room that was still playing. Later, Strymans was charged with the murder of the woman. Workmen engaged in the building state that they heard no sounds of any struggle, while the furniture in the room was, not disarranged.

TUGELA REFLOATED. SYDNEY, July 12. A wireless message lias been received that, the Tugela lias been refloated, after about ten per cent of her cargo, mainly copra, had been jettisoned.
