BIG AMERICAN DEAL.
NEW YORK, Nla.v 2(5. The Associated Press in a despatch from Breslau, Silesia, announces that the Anaconda Copper Co., and Messrs W. A. Harrimau and Co., bankers, both American concerns, have acquired control of the Polish holdings in George von Giesche’s Heirs. 'Hie Polish Cabinet approved the deal yesterday. The von Giesche concern controls 10 per cent, of the world’s zinc production and owns some of the finest coal mines in Germany, besides lead and silver smelting works, brick factories, porcelain works, three quarries and irtilieial silk and sulphuric acid factories. The firm also holds the title to 10,000 acres of agricultural, land and ',OOO acres of forest.
