FOOTBALL.
The West Coast Rugby Union Committee met at ' Greymontli last evening. A grant of £25 was received from the New Zealand Union towards school football in the district. The Defence Department asked permission to use Victoria Park on July 14 for a match between teams representing the Grey and Hokitika cadets. Duller Union intimated its acceptance of July 10 as the date for tile Buller-AVest Coast match sit Westport. Tt was decided to ask the selectors to pick a team, of seventeen men next Saturday evening after the UnitcdHokitika match. It was resolved that the senior competition he elosed and that the Hokitika Club he declared the winners of the cup for the 192(5 season, wliic-h will he presented on Saturday next. It was decided to institute a tworound senior competition for a trophy to be awarded by the Union, the first game to he played at the Park on Saturday between United and Hokitika. The draw for the competition is as follows: United v. Hokitika, at-Grey-mouth; Stars v. United at Grcymouth; Hokitika v. Stars, at Oreymouth; United v. Hokitika, at Hokitika; Stars v. United, at Greymontli; Hokitika v. Stars, at Hokitika. It was decided that in the event of a tie at tho end of the second round, the fina.l game ho played at Greymouth. " The West Coast Football Association asked for use of a ground next Saturday, and it was decided to give them choice of the Bee or Coliden ground between 1.30 and 3 p.m. Fixtures for Saturday included:— Seniors: United v. Hokitika, A Ground, Park, 3 p.rn. (Air T. Alelntosh, referee).
