In the ladies open cliaiupionship, first round, Miss Cecil Leitch defeated Mistress Burten .Jones (.South Australia) 6 and 4;second round, Miss Leitch beat Miss Man (Melbourne!) 8 and 5; Mistress Maxwell Forster had a walk over in the third round owing to her opponent scratching. Miss Wethered is not defending the title.
