In the County cricket series, Cambridge, playing Surrey, made 2K7 in the first innings. Enthoven scored 56 and l.owe 80. Surrey in the first made 463., Hobbs scored 108, Snndhnm 139, and Fender 64. Meyer took 5 tor 117. The game was'abandoned. Playing Kent, Sussex in the first innings made 2M, Tate scoring 79. Kent in the first made 167, Woolley scoring 52. Cox took 5 for 31. Essex in the first made 178, White taking 5 for 57, and in the second 138, Bridges taking-5 for 33. Essex won by one wicket. For Glamorgan against Warwick, Bell made 102 and Mercer took 5 for 88 and Rvan 5 for 47. Glamorgan won. For Gloucester against Lancashire, Parker took 5 for 71. For Lancashire R. Tyldeslev in the first took 5 for 49, and in the second 4 for 34, while Iddon took 4 for 31. Lancashire won. For Worcbester against Leicester. Root in the first took o for 24, and in the second C> for 27. Worchester won. Rain interfered with some matches.
