GREYMObTH, June 17. At the Supreme Court yesterday, before Mr Justice Adams, Bert Sommerville Nieper, ex-manager of the Grevmouth branch of Messrs AA'ilson, Canham and Co., pleaded guilty, on six counts, that, on February 23rd., 1924. and on divers dates between that date and January 20th. 192 G, he did steal the sum of £674 8s od, tiie property of AA'ilson, Onnham and Co. After bearing counsel' in mitigation of punishment, His Honor deferred sentence till Saturday
George Kendrick of Bunanga was granted a decree nisi against bis wife Lilian on the grounds of desertion.

At the Supreme Court, Edward Scott was found guilty of indecent exposure and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard iabou r. Alfred J. Pope was found guilty of forging and uttering. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour. BIG CLAIM FAILS. HAMILTON. June 10. At tin' Supreme Court at Hamilton, in a claim brought by AA’illiam and Jane Patterson against AA’illiam Irvine, Christopher Irvine and George Irvine, three brothers,' farmers, of Otorobanga, for £’3,136 damages for alleged misrepresentation over the sale of- a farm at Topoi, ten years ago, the jury after four and a half-hours, returned a verdict in favour of the defendants.
