CANADIAN DECISIONS. ["Renter Telegrams.] (Received this day at 9.0 a.m.) OTTAWA, June 14. Peaceful picketing is an offence in Canada under the criminal code, according to a decision of vital interest ot Canadian labour, given by the Supreme Court to-day. Canada will send a delegation of five members of the House of Commons and three from the Senate to the British Empire Parliamentary Association to the annual meeting in Australia, according to the announcement made t|ji-day.
" U.S.A. .MOTOR FATALITIES. (Received this day at 9.0 a.m.) NEW YORK, June. 15. The National Bureau of Casualty and Surety Underwriters announces that the automobile fatalities in tho United States during 1925 totalled 22,500. an increase approximately of 2,200 over 1924. This is considered to be a conservative estimate based on official figures in 198 cities, and it is believed that when the final returns are received the total will be even larger. The level railway crossings took a large toll increasing from 1,688 in 1924 to 1,794 in 1925. The automobile death rate per hundred thousand of population increased from 14.9 i.n 1923 to 15.7 in 1924 and 17.2 in 1925. There are indications tliutfatal accidents are increasing in r.ite as well as in number. There is an increase of nearly two and a half million automobiles between 1923 and 1925, the total in the later year reaching 19,954,000. Deaths of children continue to he one of the most serious aspects of the situation, 6,300 young sters under fifteen losing their lives in 1925.
