The v.eather was ideal, and some keenly contested matches were played. Greymouth winning the tournament with a majority of four matches to their credit. The Hokitika “B.” team played a match against Greymouth at the Omoto links on King’s Birthday, and "ere defeated by four holes. Details of tbe play one as follows; Tliorpv (Greymouth) beat Shaw (Hokitika) 4 and 3; Parkinson (G.) bent ICortegast (IT.) 4 and 3: Morris (IT.) beat AYnrnos (G.) 1 up; Fogarty (G.) beat Cooke (IT.) 4 and 3; Adams (II.) boat Griffin 3 and 2; Sballeras.s jutir. (G.) boat Burns (IT.) 6 and o; Smith, junr. (G.) beat Robertson (H.) 9 and 7; Afoss (G.) beat Keller (H.) 5 and 3. In the afternoon a mixed foursome was played. Greymouth winning by 3 games.
