EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “Tine TOP OF THE WORLD,” TO-NIGHT. T l,lll Tins who prefer drama ol --he red-blooded, roa.st-beef variety, .seasoned with plenty of action, anil flavoured with the cauco of romance, will find "Tho Top of the World,” the new J- ‘ii amount picture which opens tonight at the Princess Theatre, a wry appetising screen dish. It was piepared by that able photoplay chef, George Melford, and is exquisitely served up by a superb cast featuring Anna Q. Nilsson, James Kirkwood, Raymond Hatton and Sheldon Lewis, file basis ol this cinema concoction is the Ethel M. Dell story of the same name, but the director, with the assistance of his scenario writer, lias managed to include several original melodramatic ingredients which add considerably to the peppery valuo and fa.ste of the picture play. In absorb- j iug detail the plot unfolds the manner in which a high-spirited English girl finds love and happiness after a series of hectic- adventures, (’liable, to gel along with her domineering stepmother and fearful of being forced into a loveless marriage, Sylvia Ingloion runs uway to South Africa, determined to marry her childhood sweetheart, Guy Ranger. Unfortunately for Sylvia's plans, Guy has become a. . worthless man, and she is forced to turn for protection to Guy’s cousin Burke Rengvr. Serious complications ensue when Sylvia marries Burke and Guy lues

While Burke is away trying to stern the Hood that comes sweeping down from the mountain, Buy secretly returns 'and tries to induce Sylvia to go away with him.
