LATE LOCALS.

A death surrounded by very sail circumstances is reported to-day. On Monday a patient escaped from the Mental Hospital, and is still at large. The attendants have boon maintaining a constant search, and to-day a party were sent out by the lorry at the institution to continue- the search along hack roads. AYlien proceeding along Ulis? Spur road. Robert Af. Brown, an attendant of the Mental Hospital, by some means fell off' (he lorry, and it was seen was rather, seriously injured. Tie was taken at once to AVestland Hospital, where it was found he had fractured his skull, and unfortunately he succumbed at 12.30 o’clock. Deceased is a singlo man, formerly of Kanieri, and is a brother of Afrs AVroblcski, of Kanieri.
