FRENH PROPOSALS ADOPTED. GENEVA, May 26. Tlie report on disarmament being drafted by the committee was read to a full committee without discussion.' Uj It will be considered this morning. The report adopts the French proposals that Governments are entitled to take into account the degree of security existing when the conference meet's, and suggests that a limitation of armed forces might he effected by the reduction or limitation of expenditure on national defence. Count Bernstorff elaborated Germany’s viewpoint regarding the League’s assistance in the event of aggression ; expressing the opinion that no state should have an armed force superior in numbers to tlio collective forces of the nations forming - the League.
