WESTLAND SUB-UNION. The usual weekly meeting took place last evening at 8 o’clock. Present:— .Messrs F. AlqGregor (Chairman), D. Dowell. J. Stafford, 11. Steele, B. Adam, J. Burns, J.. J. Breeze, A. Colin Hownt applied for reinstatement from, League to Rugby.—Received and resolved to recommend to the W.G.R.U. for favourable consideration. From Hokitika Club nominating A. ft. Lawn and ft. Steele as delegates and agreeing to meet cost of car to Gre.vmouth. — Received. E. G. Irving and If. Stevens were reclassified as juniors. Flora. AY.C.R.U. re seven aside tournament. —Received. From Boss Club asking if IF Tainui I was eligible to play for Kanieri Club last Saturday.—Received. From D. Tainui in reference to the above and his application for transfer from Arahura to Kanieri.—Received. After discussion it was. resolved that Tainui was not eligible to play for Kanieri last Saturday.

Afr A. Sumner reported on the KiwiExcelsior junior match and stated the Excelsior team included J. King, who is a member of the Hokitika seniors and Kiwi team included George, who last played for Arahurn.—lt was resolved to warn the clubs against a repetition of the offence. It was resolved that the Arahura Club be struck out of the junior competition. It was resolved that both the Kan-ieri-Ross and Kiwi-Excelsior junior games he replayed. Air George was allotted to the Kiwi Club, T). Tainui to the Kanieri Club and G. Tainui to the Kokatahi Club. SEVEN-ASIDE TOURNAATENT. It was resolved to hold a seven-aside tournament on Cass Square on June 3rd., juniors, third grades and shrimps nominations closing next Alonday at 8 p.m. It was resolved to ask the AV.G.R.U. to give Hokitika seniors a game next Saturday. ; Mr D. Dowell gave notice to move at next- meeting—“ That any player selected to play for Hokitika- seniors failing to take his place must give reasonable grounds why he did not play.
