SATURDAY'S GAMES. JUNIOR. Excelsior S, Kiwi 3. Kanierj 5, Ross 3. THIRD GRADE. Excelsior 19.’Rimu 3. The wesither on Saturday was very unfavourable for football. There vas continued rain in the morning, and though it cleared to some extent in Die afternoon, the ground was very wet and heavy, the conditions not being very favourable for play, and the exhibition was not of a high order.
In the junior game on Cass Square, the Excelsiors defeated Kiwi by 8 to 0 after a fairly even- game. For Excelsiors, tries were scored by Glover and Palmer, while Stevenson converted one. AH Sumner was referee. In tli third "grade match on No. 2 ground, Cass Square, Excelsior defeated Rimu by 19 to 3. For Excelsiors, tries were scored by Herring, George, Simpson, Tainui and Hughes. Two tries were converted by Hughes. For
Rimu Cuttanco scored a try’. Air B. Gibbons was referee. Tho junior game between Kanieri and Ross was played at Ross, and resulted in a win for Kanieri by 5 points (a goal from a try) to 3 points (a try.)
