“THE KISS BARRIER”— TO-NIGHT! TO-NIGHT!

‘ I have been called upon to do many tilings in my professional career,” said Edmund Lowe, who has the stellar role in ■• The Kiss Barrier,” the William box production which opens to-night at the Princess Theatre, “ but I don’t believe that I have ever enjoyed anything so much as to play that I was an actor. The greater portion of my life has been spent on the spoken stage, and in that mimic world I have essayed many parts. A few years ago 1 deserted the footlights for the screen and have since worked under the William Fox banner. It was with great joy that I found the role of Richard .March in ‘The Kiss Barrier’ was that of an actor—a matinee idol. Personally 1 have never got to be a matinee idol, although 1 must confess that in my youthful days T harbored such an ambition. To he feted and courted by a bevy of young women was something of which I had often dreamed, and here was my chance. While 1 could not really be one. 1 at least had a chance to play one : in other words, T Iliad to net that I was an actor. The task, however, was an easy one, and I flatter myself that it was well done.” A strong cast of principal players support Edmund Lowe, William Fox star, in “'l ho Kiss Barrier,” the stirring photodrama at the Princess Theatre tonight.
