BOXING.
[by TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, May 14. In a bout for the lightweight championship of New Zealand and a purse of I'2oo, Les. Murray (holder) easilydefeated Reg. Trowern to-night on points. In the first few rounds the fight was fairly even. Alurray was making good use of a light left to the face, while Trowern went mainly for the body with hut'll hands. Later the champion brought his well known left rip to the body into play, following it repeatedly with a right hook. The tight took place at His Majesty’s Theatre, which was crowded.
