BLACKBALL BRIDGE
FURTHER PIER WASHED AWAY. [by telegraph—pek press association.) GREYMOUTH, .May 10. The flood last night carried away another pier of the Ngahere Blackball rail and traffic bridge, also one of the newly constructed piers being erected to replace the damage done by the previous flood. The pile driver, gantry, derrick 'nnd other gear was washed away.
The flood prevents the use of the ferry boat and the Railway Department are running a cage across the gap to carry passengers, mails and parcels. 'Die weather is showery to' day.
