THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.

Pcor, AVeak Alan. Tiie men of the twentieth century are suffering from a “ Woman-is-always-wrong ” complex! AA'e simply cannot please them whatever we do! Take clothes for instance! At the beginning of this century men discovered that long skirts were unhygienic. AVhen we shortened them but put more material in them and wore skirts five or six yards round they complained of waste of material. AVe tried the hobble skirt —and were derided for fettering ourselves or lectured on our lack of modesty. AVe found a very good skirt in the short wrapover, which allowed us freedom without any loss of decorum, but that style was criticised too. —Lady Correspondent.
