Jager will appear at the Police Court to-morrow on a charge of murdef. AIURDER CHARGE. AUCKLAND, Alay 3. After many remands oil account of his inability to leave gaol owing to his state of health, Septimus Page, the Clevedon farmer, who had been in custody for a considerable period on charges of murdering his twin children, appeared at the Police Court this morning. Chief Detective Cummings said he would have to ask that Page should be again remanded, as Page considered that his physical condition was such that he would lie unable to follow the evidence. Accordingly, the accused was further remanded. HOTEL SALE. AUCKLAND, Afav 3. A well-known public house that has stood for many years at the corner of Symonds Street and Newton Road, the Edinburgh Castle Hotel, has been sold by the licensee, Air S. J. Atkins, to Air G. H. S. Foster, the licensee of the Star Hotel, Newton, for approximately (MO,OOO. The hotel has a frontage of 57 feet to Symonds Street, and 100 feet to Newton Road, and it holds a prominent position in that busy locality.

Atr Atkins bought the hotel in 1922-23 for the sum of £22,000, thus giving an indication of the rapid advance in the values of property in Svmonds Street.

CHARGE OF FRAUD. AUCKLAND, May 4 A charge of incurring a debt

£3 10s by fraud in Dunedin last September, was preferred against William Edward Walker in the Police Court. Gliief Detective Cummings said the accused obtained hoard on the representation that lie had been employed by tbe Christchurch Tramway Coy. and had lieen transferred to Dunedin. The statement was false, lie was now serving a long sentence for another offence. Magistrate Hunt said under the circumstances the accused would lie convicted and discharged.
