The local observer for tho Dominion Meteorological Department reports the following rain and sunshine records for tbe period ending April 25th:—. Sunshine Rain
GERMAN DEMAND. LONDON. April 25. Over twelve million voters demanded a plebiscite to decide whether tbe entire property of the ex-rulers should l>e confiscated, without compensation. Government is therefore compelled constitutionally to submit a Bill tn the Reichstag. It does so with a heavy heart, however, declaring in a proclamation that confiscation without compensation is opposed to the pri' tuples of justice. It is expected that Government will do its utmost, to effect a compromise.
