[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] A RECORD FAST. BERLIN, March 29. A world’s record fust of forty-four days was is-tablidicd by the German champion named Jolly, while locked up in a, glass case. It is estimated that three hundred thousand visited him, from which he earned five thousand sterling. Jolly was accorded a great ovation as he left the glass cage. He was then taken to a clinic, where scientists diagnosed the reaction of fasting on the stomach.
NO EASTER DANCING. A GERMAN DECREE BERIJTN. March 29. For the first time in modern history, darning is being forbidden in Easter week. Tfio Minister of the Interior has issued a decree to this effect. The Minister is the subject of violent press attacks.
