Flood waters around Wellington have disappeared, leaving a trail of debris behind. Round Sydney the rain is mostly coastal. Very little has fallen. AVarwick Farm race course is reported to he in excellent condition for to-day’s races. It is still raining iu the city. SEAMEN’S UNION. SYDNEY, Alareh 27. It is officially announced that the application by the Sydney Branch of the Australian Seamen’s Union for registration as a trades union lias been granted. It is generally 1 relieved the object of the union seeking registration is to- further its right against the Melbourne branch, also to assist the Sydney branch to combat the activities of trade.
