LABOUR AND THE LIBERALS.
LONDON, January 20. Air Arthur Henderson. -U.P.. addressing his constituents at Burnley last ilight referred to what lie described as “fantastic rumours” of conversations between Liberal leaders and prominent members of the Labour Party. lie was of opinion that no official <>l the Parliamentary Labour Party, and no one representing the National Lxeeutive had been either directly or indirectly associated with any conversations regarding a suggested alliance, nor could he bo easily persuaded that any private member of the Labour Party, had seriously engaged in any attempt, to bring about such an alliance. T i i Nobody knew better than Air Lloyd George that all the discussion about the possibilities of such an. alliance had been one-sided and had been almost exclusively carried on by Liberals in Liberal newspapers.
