BOWLING.

HOKITIKA V. RUNANGA

A team of three rinks from the Hokitika Bowling Club paid a long overdue visit to Runanga on Saturday afternoon, and after an interesting game, Runanga were returned the winners by nine points, two games being won and the third drawn. Tile Runanga green was in capital order and very fast, many of the visitors being at sea on it for a time. Runanga lady supporters had provided a veritable banquet, which was done full justice to. After the play had conculded Afr Ifcslin (President) expressed the very great pleasure it ha/1 given the Runatiga Cluh members to welcome a Hokitika team to their green, and he trusted tins would be only the first of many visits, a suggestion being made to pay a return visit to Hokitika on Easter Saturday. Afr D. Stevenson (President of the. Hokitika Club) returned thanks on behalf of the visitors. congratulating Runanga on their very meritorious win, after an extremely pleasant game and specially expertising the thanks of the team io the ladies for their extremely generous hospitality. Cheers for both (Tubs and the ladies concluded a very eiijoyajjle atternoon. the weather being on its good behaviour, till the team were nearly home, when rain was encountered.
