OTTAWA, Jan. 27

A wireless message from the German liner “Bremen” received on \\ ednesdav. at Halifax, Nova Scotia, indicated that the British freighter, “Laristoii” has gone to pieces in the North Atlantic, with the loss of 25 members of the crew.

Following on a two-day battle with wind and snow in the North Atlantic, the “Bremen’’ which lias been standing hy since she rescued six men oil Tuesday, has abandoned her search for siiiv survivors.

THE “ANTINOE.” NEW YORK, Jan. 27

Twelve men, in a very weakened condition, were rescued on Wcdiisilny night from the British freighter ‘‘Antilles'” during a lull in the storm, by the liner “Roosevelt.’’
