THREE BOVS DROWNED. BRISBANE, Jan. 25. While bathing at Moody Point. Moreton Ray, three hoys, Kenneth Thomas, aged 11, his brother diaries, aged 13 and William Stratford, 10. got into difficulties and were drowned. THE PRYAIOXT EXPLOSION. SYDNEY, Jan. 25. inont Works, has succumbed to his injuries. .MR LANG EXPLAINS. SYDNEY, Jan. 10. Mr Lang expressed his determination to see the Legislative Council abolished. It is probable he will approach the Governor during the recess regarding more appointments to the Council.
The feeling in political circles is that the Government will not lie a party to making additional appointments. Referring to the use of the police to search fur the missing councillor (cabled yesterday). Mr Lang said it was discovered that he left his hotel in the morning, ami did not return. His friends became alarmed, all asserting that unless he met with an accident his vote for the Government was certain. Foul play was then suggested m view of the importance of the issue at task. It was the duty of the police to find citizens who disappeared in suspicious circumstances. Surely there could he no more suspicious circumstances than the disappearance of a legislator oil the eve of an important division.
