Elder, the Australian Trade Commissioner here, expects 25(1 guests at the reception and hall which he and Lady Elder are giving in the Plana [lntel to-morrow, celebrating Australia Day. The British Ambassador (Sir Esinc Howard) and Lady Howard will be among the guests of honour, while numerous foreign consuls and other officials will also he attending. Special features of the function will he the supper of Australian food, consisting of viands from every State in the Commonwealth. The Australian (lag will fly all day from the South Ferrv Buildings where the Commissioner’s office is situated and from the Plaza Hotel where he resides.
