HOKITIKA RINK'S SUCCESS. A WIN AND NARROW LOSS. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian). DUNEDIN, January 14. The game by Stevenson’s (Hokitika) rink against Aft. Eden (Auckland) was neck and neck till the 12tli head, when Sevenson gained a lead of two, and at the 17th, a lead of (>. Eden gained 3 at the 20th and the score was 17 all at the 25th head, and an extra was played. Eden lay two, when Stevenson drove them out, and lay two. The Eden skip drew a splendid shot and wicked in. Stevenson drove and hit, but Eden kept the shot and won an interesting and exciting game by one. point, the score being Eden IS, Hokitika 17. In the afternoon. Stevenson met a British team, and the latter led for the first few heads. Hood steady play by Stevenson’s team gave them the lead, and at the lOtlt head, they led by 21-13. In the last head. Minto, the English skip trailed the kitty and lay 4. but Stevenson drew the skip and won by 27 to 1(>.
