RUSSIAN WAR STRENGTH

[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, January 12. The Riga correspondent of the “ Times ” says a census of the Soviet’s war strength is being taken. The TV nr Commission Has ordered an examination and the re-registration of the Red Army reserve officers. The newspaper “ Izestia ” explains the order is important its object is to ascertain tile potential military power of the Soviet Republics in the ease of war. It embraces not only military men, but. administrative, political, medical and veterinary officials liable to army service. The correspondent also reports that ai Dr Sun Yat Sen University has been opened in Moscow for the edcuation of Chinese. It has 250 students, including 4(1 women, all Chinese sent to Moscow by the Chinese revolutionary organisation. The students chief study will be the theory and 'practice of revolution.
