Many houses have completely, collapsed and their contents are ruined. Tbe Queen has sent a message to the people, praising tbe heroic rescue work, and the unselfish welcome given to the homeless refugees, and appealing to all to join in prayers for the victims. The Queen and Prince Consort have decided to devote all the contributions to their Silver Wedding Fund towards flood relief.
