The news from Halsingfors states that the continuance of the Arctic cold lias thickened the ice in the Gulf of Finland with the result that thirtyfive vessels are stuck near Hogland Island. Two German steamers are reported sunk. Crews of most of the ships are reported suffering from a shortage of food and fuel. Finnish Army aviators from \ ikei'K and Helsingfors did splendid work, m spite of the frightful cold in dropping hundreds of pounds of provisions on the ice near the stranded steamers. Druses made a sudden onslaught, on the village of Rtishavc on the borders of Palestine and massacred one hundred Christians, robbed, pillaged and burned the village.
