SCOUT JAMBOREE. DUNEDIN, January 11. The biggest scout jamboree held south of the line opened at Taliunn Park this morning, where more than a. thousand scouts from all parts of the Dominion. South Africa, Victoria, and New South Wales assembled under canvas under Commissioner J. D. Campbell of Rarotonga. At the opening ceremony this morning messages were read from, the Chief Scout, General lladen-Powell, and the Prince of Wales, who expressed pleasure at the holding of the jamboree stating lie still retained the . happiest memories of many scouts met during his New Zealand visit.
