IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
SPEEDING UP CONFIRMED.
.'Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.j LONDON, Jan. 10. The speeding up of the Imperial Conference is confirmed by the “Daily Telegraph’s” diplomatic correspondent who says that inquiries are non proceeding with the object of ascertaining from the 'Prime Ministers of the Dominions the date upon which it is convenient for them to meet in London. Sufficient time lias not elapsed si nee the communication was sent to enable the Premiers to reply, hut the balance of probability is that the conference will he held before the autumn. October might be regarded a.s a suitable month in view of the fact that throe Premiers will have gone through general elections and may not desire to be absent during the first session of the new Parliament.
