THE DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.

5! 1 LLIONTH VISITOR'S PRIZE

L IIV '1131, F.G HA1 1 II

DUX ED IN. Jan. 8,

There is no sign yet ol' any slackening in the wonderful holiday attend-ant-"'al the Exhibition. The grand total up to and including January 7th. was 805,000, which gives the remarkable daily average of 10,080.

H is ex; erted that the millionth visitin', who will receive a gold watch Mill 'pass through the gates next Thursday or Friday. Councillor Troup, of Wellington, it. an interview, said: “The Exhibition is in many ways a revelation, rite exhibits in the New Zealand Government Pavilion and the Kducatio: Court are wonderfully good. They ate “out on their own.’’ In fact, the Education Court exhibits, are, I think, superior to what I saw in that line a Wembley. The New Zealand Secondary Industries Court, too, is an cxuedingly fine one. not only because of the multiplicity of manufacturers, hu! also because of the very high standard of pliably. The educational value ,>f the British Government Pavilion is in: alculable. The British Government display is entirely different from ulmt was shown at Wembley, and shows how exhibits can and should he made the most of. It is not all crowded together, but is displayed with a certain dignity and breadth of effect. The same can he said of the Wellington Court. Though it is a most interesting Court, it gives one a feeling of repose. The other Provincial Courts are good,- but they have not just that quality.”
