The ‘‘Daily News” special correspondent, flying by monoplane, reconnoitered Holland only, without method, ascertaining the extent or the floods. Holland resembled an archipelago on the edge of the North Sea. Millions of acres are submerged, frequently to the depth of twenty feet. The correspondent watched the villagers fleeing, lroats aground in gardens. a steamer wedged in a cemetery, windmills looking like lighthouses and cataracts half a mile in length flowing from broken dykes.
