Members 0 f the State Ministry were taken to task at a. meeting of the Barliamentary Labour Caucus for having expressed publicly, diverse opinions on matters of the Labour policy. They were given to understand that in tulure they must not enter into any controversial subject that might tend to split, the Labour movement. The reprimand is the outcome of the denunciation of Communist and the red element in Labour ranks, by several -Ministers, following on the defeat of Hie Labour Baity at the Federal election. COMMUNISTS EX BEL LED. BRISBANE. Nov. 28. A meeting of the Queensland Executive of the Australian Labour I’arty dealt with I lie position of members who had not signed the nnli-Commun-ist pledge ami decided that every member of the executive be required to sign the auti-Communist pledge, and any member refusing to comply be. not allowed to retain bis seat on the executive. All members except Morouey and Hymen signed the pledge and those two who represent the railway union were expelled from the executive. JOB CONTROL. MELBOURNE. Nov. 28. Following on repeated instances of job control by (lie Australian .Seamen’s Union, the Commonwealth Steamship Owners’ Fedot-alien have issued a warning that unless the agreement abolishing job eoutrol is honoured, owners will be compelled to take serious action and endeavour to put an end to the wanton repealed violations of the agreement which cannot he permitted to continue indefinitely.
