Chiinvnngtao and elswherc along Ihe I’ekiu-.M ukilen line. lt, is claimed in some quarters that General Kuosiiiig Ling has captured Mukden, and has made Chang Tso l.iii a prisoner, hut other reports state that troops loyal to Chang Tso Lin have broken the railway at Chiuwangtao, in order to hinder General Kuosiiug Ling’s advance on Mukden. Chihli. Tupan. Lichinglin, are preparing lo declare their independence of Mukden, and are also drafting a telegram urging Chang Tso Ling to retire. , T here is no doubt that the Mukden Party has collapsed, at least temnorarily, thus immensely strengthening General Feng Yuli Slang’s Cabinet. It is expected that all the Anfuites and Mukdenites will he forced to resign and that a Knomielnin cabinet will he installed.
