At the Supreme Court William Kerr, ex-manager of the Union Bank at Stratford, pleaded guiltv to fifty-four charges of theft, forgery and falsifying the hooks and he was found guilty of obtaining C3OO by false pretences from 11. W. Barlow. A sentence of three years’ hard labour was imposed. Leslie Cranston McCormick, aged 17. pleaded guilty to seven charges of indecent assault on hoys and was sentenced to five years detention at the Borstal Institute.
