JUSTICES OF THE PEACE
A meeting ol tin* West Coast Branch of the Justices of the Peace Association was held itt the Court House Greymouth yesterday. 'the lollowing members were present : Messrs W. R. Kettle, A. Naylor, (i. Perkins. . D. Lynch, F. 11. Kilgottr, 11. J. Bigneli. I*'. W. Shallerass, U. 11. I’nriitt, A. Peat, .1. Creagh, <L Xewlaml. M. J. Gerragiity, J. Sneddon. Representatives of other centres were: I. H. l.ee and R. Wills (Reel toll); G. Hatch and C. J. Nightingale fllokitik:i). and Mr K. R. Fox (Westport). Mr W. Meldurm S.M., presided. Gerrnghty. I), liayhutt. Auditor: .Mr K. A. M antes. Votes of thanks were passed to the Chairman and the Clerk of Court for the assistance rendered to the Association in the past. The Under-Secretary for Justice. Mr" E. R. Ward, was present, and delivered an address to th<* members on the objects and benefits derived from the Association, assuring them that they had the support of the Minister of Justice, and also himself and his Department. He offered to supply, through the Secretary, books dealing with, the 1 work of Justices of the Peace generally. Mr Ward was thanked for his offer.
