] FANCY DRESS BALL. The Juvenile Fancy Dross Ball held in the new Woodstock Hall on Thursday night was a great .success. 'I lie ball was gaily decorated with coloured streamers and balloons, and these. ; together with tbe fancy costumes of tbe children made a very pleasing 1 sight. The judging was carried out by Afr Wilson and Mrs Drquhart, of Hokitika. Tbe judges bad a very diffi- . cult task as most- of tbe costumes were of a very fine class. Wells and Afr .Mattson. Tbe adults then took charge of the floor and dancing was carried on until midnight. Tbe Committee omitted to thank Mr A. Nateckivell. who acted as ALC. , -m the night of the opening, and they now wish to thank him for the. excel- i lent way in which he tarried out his 1 duties as ALC. in the crowded hall.
