There was a very largo attendance of buyers and competition from outside clients. Houston and Co report : We held our usual fortnightly sale at (he above yards yesterday, our entry consisting of 22 head ot lot cattle. There was a large attendance of buyers and lompetiliou was very keen throughout and in consequence ol the short entry, prices recorded showed a very marked -advance; in fact in our opinion the sale was the dearest of the vear, beef making as high as (iOs per hundred in many cases, the geneial aiverage being from 51s to (iOs.
