KUNA.VGA V. I-lOKITIKA

On Saturday morning, owing to weather conditions the Runanga C'luli can eel led their proposed visit to Hokitika for the day. About 12.30 p.m. ns the weather at Runanga appeared to he clearing, it was decided to make the journey, and two rinks came on, arriving about 3 o’clock. There was a light shower as they arrived, but it soon cleared and after that the afternoon was tine, though a heavy southerly was blowing. Under the conditions the green rolled out well and a very pleasant game ensued. Afternoon tea was kindly arranged by .Mesdames Pilkington and Conning and the visitors fully appreciated the dainty spread. The games ended in a win for Hokitika by 1> points. At the conclusion of the play brief appreciative speeches were made by the two Presidents, Messrs Moslin (Ruminga) and Stevenson (Hokitika), the latter promising a return visit to Runanga in a fortnight when it was intimated the Runanga green would be open for play. Hearty cheers for each club terminated the proceedings. The details were:— HOKITIK A: RI7NAXGA.

The team skipped by -Mr H. Thompson having been won by the most points Irecanic holders of the Reynolds Pudges, which at the time were in possession of the Hokitika Cluh.
