SYRIAN COMMISSIONER. PARIS, November 12
The British Government invited De Journal, the new High Commissioner of Syria to London, to discuss with Mr Chamberlain and Mr Amery the situation in the Near East as it affects Anglo-French mandates over Palestine and Syria respectively. It is understood that De Journal’s acceptance of the invitation, depends on the time available before his departure for Syria.
