The “Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent says: “The new Persian ruler and Government have shown respect for constitutional methods by summoning a National Assembly for the purpose of settling the future regime. It is unlikely that a republic will lie adopted and the choice is likely to rest between an hereditary and an elective monarchy.”
